How are you guys?
Things have been busy but great here at the Lofts.
I will be getting a new intern Oct 17 and I have been locking in a consulting contract for youth recruiting with DPS.
Starting to plan the next bus trip....., more rentals, more great relationships...
As far as the event... I have decided to do an even tin November. My thought was that I would like the community to sponsor a family to feed for thansgiving. I think this is better because there will be several people having haloween parties and I would like as much participation as possible.

There she is! Would it be possible to do the following Tuesday (18th), if Friday or the weekend do not work? The plans I had for this coming Tuesday switched to Thursday.
ReplyDeleteIs the Event still the main agenda item? What is the community sponsor project for the family for Thanksgiving? Is that just a sidebar project, or are you thinking of it as an event piece? While I think it is a wonderful sentiment, everything we do should communicate the "teach a man to fish" principle. What do you think about that? Maybe we can re-conceptualize the good intentions behind that kind of effort and come up with something a little more dynamic to organize the community around.

As for post I just need some clarification that we are definitely not proceeding with the late October plan, correct?
As for meeting: I would be available anytime between 9am to Noon on Friday to meet if we can all formalize an agenda that we can all agree on to move forward with by Tuesday. A brief discussion on a conference call with everyone would suffice. I cannot meet on Thursday or Tuesday of this week.
My schedule is more fleixbel so just let me know when and where. If T/Th dont work I can do Friday.

Bernadette, from our last meeting and the work that we did to focus on the October event etc. and considering that this has now shifted and you have a number of new developments, what do you see as the agenda for this meeting? Not sure that this can get clear today, so it may be best to consider next week to meet and work this out.
